  • Teacher: Annie Deckert

  • Assistant Teacher (Friday 2's Only): Paula Oakes

  • Time: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00 am to 11:00 am or Fridays, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

  • Class Participation Requirement: Approximately one day per week for MW 2's or two to three days per month for Friday 2's

  • Course Description: We strive to create a developmentally appropriate program for our toddlers, offering them irresistible learning opportunities every day at school and fostering an early love for education. Children learn through play, not through "instruction," so we work hard to set up a toddler environment that encourages deep play and exploration. We keep in mind the toddlers' needs for both connection and independence as we plan our curriculum and set up the classroom environment. Each day, when our toddlers walk through the gate, we want each child to discover many ways to be themselves, to play, and to learn. Our toddlers experience lots of sensory learning, strong relationships with adults, movement, creative expression, individualized learning, outdoor adventure, opportunities for growing independence, and the gift of time to play, think, feel and experience.
