2010-2011 School Year:

Explorer is excited to offer preschoolers ages 2 to 5 an environment that engages them in developmentally appropriate activities to create a love for learning that can last a lifetime. We began accepting applications for fall enrollment from new families at our annual Open House on February 1st, where open positions were filled by a lottery of the applications we received that day. Applications submitted after the Open House on February 1st will fill in any remaining open positions or are posted to the wait-list in the order they are received.  For our 2010-2011 school year, we are maintaining wait lists for all classes and encourage you to complete an application to be placed on the waitlist, as we do expect some movement in many of the classes over the summer. Together Time for Parents and Toddlers:
For younger children, we offer Together Time at Explorer Preschool, an age-appropriate class for toddlers 14 months and older (by Oct 1) and their parent/caregiver to be introduced to preschool. The Together Time class meets at the Explorer Preschool location in the "2s" classroom from 11:45am ­1:15pm. You may enroll either for a Monday session or a Wednesday session. The session runs from mid-October through mid-April and there are 20 meeting times in the session. Make-ups are available by arrangement. Teachers: Annie Castle Deckert, M.Ed.Psych. and Jackie Kite. If you would like to be placed on the Together Time interest list for the 2010-2011 school year, please email membership@explorerpreschool.org.  Together Time registration will begin later in the summer for the 2010-2011 school year.
